At MyGeekTails, every cat is family. As a responsible Maine Coon breeder, our philosophy has always been to prioritize the health, happiness, and long-term wellbeing of every cat in our program. One of the ways we do this is by retiring our breeding queens early so they can enjoy a peaceful life as beloved companions.
Today we are celebrating a very special milestone for one of our beautiful queens — Pandora, our stunning silver polydactyl Maine Coon.
Pandora has been an incredible part of the MyGeekTails cattery. With her elegant silver coat, expressive golden eyes, and adorable extra toes that make polydactyl Maine Coons so unique, she has always been a cat that captures attention. Her gentle personality, playful spirit, and loving temperament made her not only a wonderful queen but also a favorite among visitors and kitten families.
As a silver Maine Coon with polydactyl traits, Pandora represents many of the features people admire most about the breed. Maine Coons are known for their large size, friendly personalities, and majestic appearance, and Pandora truly embodies those qualities. From her fluffy coat to her confident yet affectionate nature, she has always carried herself like the queen she is.
Throughout her time in our program, Pandora has helped produce beautiful, healthy kittens that carry on the strong traits we strive for at MyGeekTails. Her kittens inherit not only her striking silver coloring but also her calm and affectionate personality. These qualities are especially important for families searching for a well-socialized Maine Coon kitten.
However, while Pandora has been an incredible queen, we believe every breeding cat deserves the opportunity to retire early and live a relaxed life outside of motherhood.
At MyGeekTails, we retire our queens before the age of four. This approach ensures that our cats remain happy, healthy, and stress-free for the majority of their lives. Breeding queens dedicate a lot of energy to raising kittens, and we believe they deserve many years afterward simply enjoying life as cherished pets.
Retiring a queen early allows her to experience what we lovingly call the happy cat life. This means more naps in sunny windows, climbing tall cat trees, playing with toys, and receiving endless affection from the people who love her.
Pandora will now spend her days relaxing, exploring, and enjoying all the comforts of home without any responsibilities. She has more than earned a life filled with peace, comfort, and plenty of cuddles.
Responsible breeding is about much more than producing beautiful Maine Coon kittens. It also means ensuring that every cat in our care is respected, protected, and given the best quality of life possible. Our commitment to retiring our queens young is part of our promise to prioritize their wellbeing above all else.
Pandora’s legacy will always remain part of MyGeekTails. Her beauty, temperament, and unique silver polydactyl traits will live on through the kittens she helped bring into the world.
As Pandora transitions into her retirement, we are excited to see her enjoy the life she deserves — one filled with comfort, love, and the freedom to simply be a cat.
Thank you, Queen Pandora, for everything you have given to MyGeekTails. Your legacy will always be part of our story, and we look forward to watching you enjoy your well-earned retirement.
